Folktales are oral or written narratives that are rooted in the culture of the people of each land. These stories are a mirror of the history, culture, and civilization of each nation. Language and gender are two inseparable elements in folktales that influence each other. Flowers and the Garden of..." is one of the ancient oral folk tales in Persian literature that has been narrated in different ways in different regions. The study and analysis of the different narratives of this story from the perspective of language and gender using the method of content analysis is a topic that will be addressed in the present study. This research analyzes the vocabulary of different narratives of the story of the garden of yellow and red flowers from the perspective of language and linguistic context in the selection of words, and in the next step, using the semantic engineering method from a gender perspective. This study aims to identify the extent to which semantic engineering is used to convey meaning in the context of speech; therefore, the conclusion will be that the patterns of occurrence, frequency and distribution of cases, and even syntactic structures have a great impact on words, in such a way that new meanings cannot be found in different cultures.
