Counter-urbanization is one of the common themes of contemporary literature, which is a reflection of the poet's dissatisfaction with urban life and the tendency to return to nature or his original hometown. This tendency is evident in the poetry of many contemporary Persian and Arabic poets. In this research, a comparative analysis of the components of Counter-urbanization in the poems of "Sohrab Sepehri", a prominent contemporary poet, and "Blind Al-Haidari", a modern Arabic-language poet, has been done. Sohrab Sepehri, with a mystical and naturalistic approach, considers the city to be a symbol of the identitylessness of modern man, and by relying on the elements of nature, he seeks to get rid of the constraints of urban civilization and return to the simplicity and indifference of the countryside and nature. On the other hand, "Blind Al-Haidari" has introduced the city as a platform for confusion and alienation of contemporary man with a critical and philosophical view. Despite the fact that Al-Haidari was born and raised in an urban environment, Counter-urbanization is one of the vital elements of his poems. In most of his poems, he represents his extreme distaste for the industrial structure of the city and civilization, and he considers avoiding the city as a form of piety and returning to the pure human nature. The results show that both poets express dissatisfaction with urban life. Sepehri with a gentle and mystical language, and Al-Haidari with a critical and philosophical language, have reflected this concept in their poems.
